This week...

This has been a crazy week. J and I finished our finals, I graduated from college and we moved to California! Phew! I can't believe we have done all that this last week. Since being in California, we have been moving in, catching up with friends and family, baking and relaxing. I will share pictures of my graduation later this week but for now....here are some pictures from around the house :)

The last 4 years...

I have spent the last 4 years at Brigham Young University-Idaho. I remember the day I drove into the tiny town of Rexburg, Idaho. I was with my Mom, My aunt and my cousin, Cassie. None of us had ever been to Rexburg before. We drove from one end to the other, turned to each other and said that's it? We were shocked haha! I came to BYU-Idaho because I got in. No joke. I had friends who were already up here and they loved it so I thought, Hey why not? Not before long, I realized that this is where I was supposed to be. Every time I left and came back, I would drive into town and it just felt right. It quickly became my home. In the winter, I cursed this place A LOT. I mean... A LOT. But I survived and I can say I survived the Rexburg winters...not many can say that haha! During my time at BYU-Idaho....

1. I went on a study abroad to Europe! (an unreal experience)
2. I went on lots of embarrassing and awkward dates. I could seriously write en entire post on awkward dates i've been on.
3. I lived with roommates who are still my best friends today.
4. I slipped on the ice, bruised my tail bone and blacked out one time...sad.
5. I endured lots and lots of finals and brutal tests.
6. I found a lot for art and graphic design.
7. I met J, got engaged and got married all while we were in college!
8. I learned how to drive in the snow!
9. I had some amazing professors who taught me A LOT and helped me become a better person.
10. I gained a stronger testimony of my Savior, Jesus Christ.
11. I found out that I really love learning and want to continue learning forever!
12. I pulled one too many all nighters during finals weeks.
13. I got homesick, like really really bad pretty much every semester. It wasn't that  I wanted to leave but I  always missed my family.
14. I became very grateful for California weather :)
15. I drove from California to Idaho and back, a 13 hour drive each way, at least 20 times.

The list could go on forever. I had an amazing college experience and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. It feels very bittersweet because I know it's time to move on and leave Rexburg but I will miss it a lot. Now lets start from the beginning.....

This is literally the morning I left for college when I was 18!

EUROPE!

Efy counselor one summer!

I loved college and if I could do it all over again I would go to BYU-Idaho again! Now on to bigger things for hubs and I. Hooray for the future!

The things that make up "us"

I was thinking the other day about all the little quirks that make J and I "us." We are kinda weird and that's just how I like it!

1. We both like our OWN blankets when we are sleeping and therefore we sleep with different blankets at night.
2. I can not stay up late unless I drink lots of caffeine or something but J....oh he can stay up very late whenever he wants!
3. We both like working out...together! This is kind of odd for some couples but we like going to the gym together or going on a run together.
4. We both like talking in this really embarassing baby voice. And no, I won't do it in public.
5. I LOVE LOVE LOVE candy..like sour patch kids, gummy worms and mike and ikes. J would never eat candy like this if it was up to him. He is a chocolate guy for sure!
6. Some guys can cook and J isn't one of them ha! But that's okay because I enjoy cooking a lot.
7. We like the same music for the most part. J will call my music girly or what not but 5 minutes later he is singing along. go figure!
8. We both want to end up living in California. This is big because J is from Idaho!
9. We are kind of boring. We both like staying home, renting movies and just hanging out.
10. We both want to be parents like now! haha that day will come...
11. I am a shopaholic. I love getting new clothes. J does not...enough said.
12. J loves sports, like ALL sports and ever since we got married I love sports too. If only J would love shopping like me.
13. We both have to shower every single day.
14. We like to drive around, look at houses and dream about owning a house one day. J has our entire backyard planned out with a pool, waterfall and outdoor flatscreen TV. HA!
15. We love each other and love being married yay!

Over the Thanksgiving break my sis-in-law, Heather, took a couple pictures of me for my graduation announcement. J came along and we got a few cute ones of us too. I don't know which one to pick and I'm sending them out next week, so yeah. Hip hip hooray! Class of 2011. We are moving in 2 weeks and I haven't started packing. Maybe I'll start this weekend..or maybe i'll be finishing up final projects and wanting to kill myself.

Thankful

J and I had such an AMAZING Thanksgiving break. We spent a lot of time in the car, a lot of time with family and a lot of time snuggling up to our little nephew. Now after you look at these pictures you might think we are a little overboard but listen- we have ONE nephew on both sides. That's it. So this little guy is spoiled to death and we seriously miss him already! We spent our week in St. George, Utah with my Mother-in-law's family. J and I have been married for over a year and a half and I hadn't met most of these people! My Mother-in-law has 6 siblings and I had only met one, and they all have families. It's nuts! It was so much fun to meet everyone and get to know them better. I feel like since I got married I have gained TONS of new family and I love it. I love being with family and surely enough all these new family members are beginning to feel like my family :) I love it! We went to in-n-out, ate lots of good food, played a bunch of games and talked a lot. I have so many things to be grateful for this Thanksgiving. I have an amazing husband, and amazing family, an apartment to live in and a religion that means everything to me. I am so grateful that i've been able to be in college and now that it's ending I'm starting to get all sentimental about it, blah. Anyway, I am so blessed and I couldn't be happier:):) Now on to CHRISTMAS! p.s. since I got the iPhone I haven't been taking pictures with my real camera. whoops. It is so much easier to whip out your phone rather than lug out your big ol' camera.

Lately from my phone

This is a little bit of what we have been up to lately! You know, lots of food and such. We put up our Christmas tree early! Yep, we are "that" couple. We are only in our little apartment for a few more weeks so we thought we would take advantage of having our own little apartment because come December...we are house guests haha not really. We are moving in with my parents!! We are moving to California and there's no way we could move right in to a ridiculously expensive apartment. We need time to save yo. This week we are headed to St. George, Utah for some much needed family time. Yay for Thanksgiving and eating lots of goodies and gaining weight! Happy Thanksgiving!
