2 years

J and I had our 2 year wedding anniversary this month and what an amazing 2 years this has been. Life has its ups and downs but nothing we can't handle :) I am so incredibly blessed to have J in my life. He is so understanding and patient with me. I am a very emotional person and sometimes I let my emotions get the best of me. J never laughs, ridicules or judges me. He always comforts me and listens even though I know he has to be thinking I am legit crazy. We have so much fun together and I can't imagine my life without this man. Some of the highlights from this last year are:

-Spending New Years in Arizona
-Enjoying our last 2 semesters in Rexburg, especially the summer
-Visiting Washington DC with all of his family
-Getting our very first nephew!
-Moving to California
-And making many road trips together :) Cheers to 2 years!

Arizona...again

Yes, we went to Arizona again. We can't stay away. Justin's little cousin had his mission farewell. Over the last year hubs and his cousin, Mitch have gotten extremely close. We love that kid to death. He will be such an amazing missionary. We laid out by pool while we roasted in the 100 degree weather, ate Firehouse Subs and had lots of impromptu dance parties. Coming back to real life was ridiculously hard. The 9-5 grind is so flipping boring lately! The paycheck at the end of the week does make it worth it, though. I think this weekend we will relax and catch up on sleep...aaahhh.

Yeah, they have a pig in their backyard.

Oceanside

We spent the weekend down in Oceanside because Justin's cousins came in to town from Arizona. It was a party. We hung out at the beach, walked on the pier, went to Pedro's tacos, watched movies and had a massive dance party. We stayed up late and slept in. It was perfect! Justin's cousin Mitch is leaving to serve a 2 year mission in Chile, so it was our last time with him. This weekend I was reminded how much I love the beach..you can't beat it!

Next weekend we might possibly be headed to Arizona. We have been going, going, going lately and I love it.

Easter!

Easter was great. I teach 10 year old boys in my primary class for church and it was so awesome to get to teach the Easter lesson. These boys are so smart and they could have taught it to me but it was special for me to get to talk to them about the Savior. I love teaching their class and being reminded of how simple the gospel is. After church we headed over to the park for our usual Easter lunch at the park. I love being with family and eating some good grub. These are a few pictures from the day.

Look mom I found a dollar!!

Palm Springs Weekend!

This past week J and I were talking about how great it would be to get away for our anniversary. This year our anniversary is on a Tuesday, so we dreamed about getting away for an entire weekend together. Low and behold, at the dinner last week my parents declared that they got us a hotel in Palm Springs for our anniversary!!! What!!! You would have thought I won the lottery...no joke. I was jumping around and acting like a giddy 5 year old. A whole weekend away with my hubby..yay! I called in sick to my work on Friday...shhhh and we were off! We went straight to our hotel, checked in and went right down to the pool.  I have to admit that it has been a hard transition going from being a student with a very flexible schedule to working full time and being inside an office from 9-6 everyday. I miss being outside. Anyway, we were laying out by the pool for literally 5 minutes and what do you know, I get stung by a bee. All of those who know me, know that I'm allergic to bee stings. My arm began to swell and itch. It got HUGE. It was red and swollen all weekend. I took a few benadryl and I was out for the night. On Saturday we woke up and took a walk. We found the cutest cafe where we got a cinnamon roll and hot chocolate. We spent the day laying by the pool, swimming and relaxing. We ate a lot of good food and spent a lot of quality time together. It was just what I needed to re-charge! On our actual anniversary we might do a little somethin somethin...so I will blog about that later.

Family

I love my family. Family is such an important part of my life! I have been blessed with such an amazing, supportive family. Not too mention, I married into a family just as great as my own. They are such awesome people and I continue to be amazed by them. This weekend I listened to LDS General Conference and a re-occuring theme through out the conference was family. I love being reminded of the importance of family!
