We are finally moved into our new apartment! Check it out....
Photobucket
Kidding. Okay but wouldn't that be amazing? Our new place doesn't look quite like this but it's decent. The best thing would probably be the fact that we have a GIANT jacuzzi right outside of our apartment building. SCORE! There are boxes everywhere but everything is in the apartment. When will they be unpacked? Who knows. This weekend we are going to Twin Falls for my sister-in-law Heather's baby shower. Yay! If I get everything unpacked i'll probably post some pics :) Oh and Happy Birthday to my best friend BRITTNEY NICOLE EICHELBERGER! (Did I spell it right) haha Love you Brit!

I have a problem!

I figured I should post some pictures from our trip to California in honor of the rain, wind and hail that Idaho gave us today. I think I am in shock. I miss the sun! Boo Idaho! Anyway the first week of school has come and gone..for me anyway. I don't have school on Fridays hollaaaaa! We are in process of moving right now. How does that work? It's complicated. So yesterday J and I were driving in the car on the way to class and I set my wedding ring on the dashboard while I put lotion on. We drove and drove and I forgot about my ring. (for like 5 minutes okay) As soon as I looked at my hand I freaked! I looked on the dashboard and it was GONE! A soon as the car stopped I searched everywhere. All over the car. I was envisioning my ring sliding back into one of the air vents or into a dark deep crevice where I would never find it! Ah! I went to class and all I could think about was the fact that I couldn't find my ring! We got back to the car and searched for like 30 minutes when low and behold Husband of the Year pulls my ring out from under the seat. It was tucked between two metal bars. Oh my goodness. What would I do with out him? So then last night we were leaving for the gym and our conversation went a little something like this...

J: Megs where are the keys with our gym passes on it?

M: In the car.

J: Are you sure? (he knows me so well)

M: Yes, I am positive.

So, we get into the car, drive to the gym and it dawns on me. I took the keys out of the car and put them in my backpack earlier that day. Don't ask me why. So we park and I sheepishly look over to J and say something like.."Uhh I kinda might have maybe put the keys in my backpack which is at the house."

Silence.

There are no words from J for a full minute. He is not mad, just shocked at my ability to places items in odd places and forget them.

Oh and this isn't even the best part. Today we are at school and before my class I am sitting in a chair in the Taylor building playing on my phone. I go into class and halfway through class I reach down to check my phone and BAM it's gone. I frantically ran from the room and back to the seat where I was sitting before class and waaaaa it wasn't there. After class I looked everywhere! At this time J is waiting for me on the opposite side of campus and I have no way to tell him my totally funny experience. not. So I used the school phone, called J and he picked me up from my class. Again, there were no words. I have no excuse! I have a problem. All of this happened in the same 24 hours. School stresses me out. I need help! haha Anywho! Husband needs my awesome packing skills so until next time. Cheers! :)

anniversary dates and lofty goals

Justin and I celebrated our one year anniversary in California! Our actual anniversary was on Sunday so we went to church, took a walk outside and had a fun bbq at my parent's house. My lovely mother gave us a gift card to Red Lobster for our anniversary and you know we used it the very next day. I got tilapia and shrimp while Justin got lobster tail and shrimp. Um my mouth is watering! After dinner we hit up the always classy Mcdonalds for some free mcflurries. Yum! We made each other cute cards and bought some sweet stuff at Ikea as a gift to each other haha more like a gift to me but hey it's for OUR apartment! right?! anyway, we decided to start a tradition. I was thinking a lot about our first year and some things we did great and some things we need to work on so we decided to make a goal. Every year, instead of at new years, on our anniversary we will make one goal. We will look back on the past year and think of one thing we could work on TOGETHER. We can always make individual goals but this will be a goal we work on as a couple. So our goal for this year is to really dig in to the scriptures. We read our scriptures together but sometimes we jump around and sometimes we start to doze off in the middle of reading. So- this year is the year of scriptures! haha it's just something to focus on and really try hard to be better at :)

Anywho- We have made it back to Alaska, I mean Antarctica, I mean Idaho. But seriously, we left 90 degree weather and we have returned to temperatures that barely top 50 degrees. Sad. School starts tomorrow. Amy I ready? No. But I am excited. It is my second to last semester wahoo! We are moving this week so the blog posts might be few and far between but i'll try!

Have a good week :)

i heart dogs

Photobucket

Today J and I went and looked at puppies at the mall! Why? Because they are so flippin cute and all they want to do is get out of that darn cage and play. haha I sound like a dog person but seriously it was so much fun! Our California trip has been uh-mazing. We went to LA yesterday, my mom and I sewed last night and tomorrow is designated "family fun day."

"Family fun day" means my parents and my sister-in-law took work off so we are going to PARTY. It is still up in the air what we are doing but the ideas are sounding epic! I'll share pictures later!

p.s. thanks for the comments recently :) love you all!

ONE YEAR!

One year ago today, I put on a white dress and Justin put on his grey suit. We were sealed in the Newport Beach Temple and it was a great day :)

This year has flown by! We got married and four days later we were living in Arkansas. After Arkansas, we moved to Rexburg and four months later we moved 30 minutes away to Idaho Falls. Oh and to top it all off....we are moving next weekend BACK to Rexburg!?! Ah! It's okay because we have an amazing family to support us and couldn't be happier :) Here are a few pictures from our first year!

roses

Photobucket

This morning I walked up the front walkway of my parent's house and there were roses blooming.

Why is this so shocking?

Probably because I haven't seen anything bloom in like 5 months! BYU-Idaho is such an amazing school but the city of Rexburg can be a downer sometimes. Anywho-we are having a blast in California! We made a trip to Ikea [heaven on earth] and this weekend we are taking a much needed trip to downtown LA, celebrating my Dad's birthday and celebrating our anniversary. I'll post pictures later!

Happy Weekend :)

birthdays and mondays.

I want to give a birthday shout out to the kindest person i know, my Dad. Always willing to give a listening ear or a word of advice. I love you Dad! Happy Birthday! Oh, and see you tomorrow!

This past weekend Justin and I went to Twin Falls.[where justin's family is from] We lay around, did a little shopping and watched conference. Conference was amazing, uplifting, inspiring, and all around comforting. It always gives me the motivation to be better. If you want to know more go to lds.org.

Tomorrow we are out of here! We are leaving for California and starting our 10 day spring break :) Not looking forward to the 13 hour drive but definitely looking forward to warm weather and lots of family time!
