Last weekend...

Last weekend was definitely a fun one. Let me start by telling you a little bit about Brittney and I. We have been friends since we were like 9 years old. We went to high school together and the year before her senior year her family moved about an hour away. Although she moved away, we stayed really close! I would go out there and spend the weekend with her or she would come visit me. We stayed best friends and both ended up at the same college...I wonder how that happened haha. So of course we were roommates in college. We had so much fun together in college! We would hang out for hours on end and never get sick of each other. We would laugh histerically and act outrageous but we didn't care! We had a blast and after almost 3 years of living together we both got married! One month apart. We were at each others weddings and couldn't be happier about who we both married. They are oddly very similar ha! The sad part of the story is that Brittney and I now live 4 hours away from each other...oh the tragedy. We don't get to see each other as often as we would like but we when we do get together- watch out. We are out of control. We were up until like 2 in the morning every night laughing so hard that we both couldn't breathe. We have so much in common and I can't wait for one day when we live close to each other again :)

We went to a corn maze, carved pumpkins, drank hot chocolate, reminisced about the good times and went to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Overall, it was such a fun weekend. We miss you guys!!

This is what fall looks like...

So this is what fall looks like in our neck of the woods. I am going to miss having four seasons. Wow. Did I just say that? Yep, I will honestly miss the four seasons...minus winter a little bit. Growing up we mainly had one season...all year around and it never bothered me. I loved growing up in Southern California and I never knew that I was missing anything until I moved away and experienced the seasons. I love when the temperature drops a little and the trees turn colors. It's fun! BUT I will take one season if it means no winter. Sorry but the winters I have experienced have been brutal. Go ahead- look up the yearly averages in Rexburg, Idaho during the months of November to April. mmmhmmm. So all in all, the seasons are beautiful. I am enjoying them for the last time :)

On another note. J and I had an awesome weekend! We had visitors- yay! I will be blogging about that later this week.

Reasons...

Reasons I am loving life right now:

- I got my wedding ring cleaned and re dipped. It's like a whole new ring! sparkle.

- My best friend Britney and her hubby our coming into town this weekend! yay for visitors!

- I was out taking photos for an assignment and I just couldn't stop taking pictures of the beautiful fall trees. I will probably have to go out again later. whoops!

- This semester J and I pretty much go to class at the same time everyday and get out at the same time..so that means LOTS and LOTS of togetherness. mmhmmmmmm :)

- I'm graduating in 8 weeks. Have I mentioned this before?

- I just ordered a skirt from forever21.com. I NEVER buy clothes online because my body is weiiiird and I need to try things on and I'm really lazy when it comes to sending things back but I'm super excited for this one.

- I have been trying lots of new recipes lately because we we're in a total food rut. I shall share later.

- And last but not least I just cut BANGS. I have always had bangs up until a year ago...I grew them out and I liked it but then I got bored so here they are again.

Some pictures I failed to share over the past few months..

Having Fun

For my entire college career school has been..well..school. I have always worked hard to get good grades but in my last semester I am finally stepping back and trying to enjoy my classes. I am trying to take time away from my school projects and do little projects that I want to do. This is hard for me! I feel like while I'm doing something I want to be doing, I should be doing something for school. Oh the struggle! So the last few days I have sat down and played around with my photos and played around in my applications to make fun prints and logos. I even made a graduation announcement for myself ha! I will show that later :) Anyway the moral of the story is to step away. Do the simple things in life that make you happy...like make a cup of hot chocolate, stop on your way to wherever and admire how beautiful the fall leaves are, take a moment and paint your nails. (my personal favorite) Just enjoy life and stop being so serious haha I am pretty much talking to myself here. I have always been so worried about getting A's but did I just get A's or did I get an education? Anyway! Those are my thoughts for the day :)

Some cute little Idaho prints I whipped up today. Seeeeeee it's fun!

lazy weekend

I have been a bad/terrible/inconsistent blogger lately and the culprit would have to be school. School is working me right now! Fortunately today I am all cuddled up on the couch watching the Sandlot. Apparently winter has decided to come early this year. This week it SNOWED!!!!! I hate love snow. You see, it is a love hate relationship. I love it for the first five minutes. It really is beautiful BUT when you combine snow with 30 degree weather and wind...yeah...that's where the hate comes in. It's okay though because that means hot chocolate and warm blankets every night :) J and I are going to enjoy our weekend together by doing homework, grocery shopping, and laying around. Hooray for lazy weekends! Welp, I have rambled enough for today. I hope everyone is having an amazing weekend :)

p.s. these are some pictures i've been doing for a photography class, not amazing but I'm working on it people!
