This week...

This week has been stupidly (is this a word) busy. It's probably because we are leaving this weekend and no matter how much I tell myself I will do my homework, lets be real. I won't. So I have been trying to finish everything really fast! This weekend we are heading to Boise for an epic Loar family reunion. I have attended some small reunions but this is a BIG one and I can't wait!!! We are leaving tomorrow and staying til Tuesday. On Monday night we babysat little Aiden. Yay! He just slept haha but that's okay because I just love holding him. I promise to take lots and lots of fun pictures this weekend!

welcome to our weekend

This weekend was a very good one! The sun was shining and we spent time outside! yay! Friday we went camping, again. We went to a little place called Ribgy Lake. With all of our camping lately, I told husband we should become granola and live off the land! He didn't like that idea. He did agree that he loves camping and it's really nice to get away from the t.v., laptop and our cell phones etc. They tend to dominate our lives most days.





So we layed out at the lake on Friday and Saturday and husband got burnt. When I say burnt I mean FRIED!!! His shoulders are bright red!! boo. So anyway yesterday, after church, we went to a little BBQ. My cousin Cassie and her husband put it on and it was so fun! We ate good food and just hung around. Here's a little pic from the BBQ-

Our weekend was pretty bomb to say the least. Can't wait for 4th of July this weekend! Who has big plans? Yay!Oh, and I think I might make these. Yum!

So, husband came limping in the door on Monday



Yep, that happened! Oh, and it isn't the first time! He has skinny little ankles and sometimes when he plays basketball, he rolls his ankle. Bummer!!!!! This picture doesn't do it justice. It's really bad haha! Poor Justin!

I know. I'm boring. I'll post about something interesting later. School is pretty nutso. Can't wait to graduate.

This past weekend was spent in Park City with all of my old roommates/best friends. I seriously miss having friends. Being married is the best but there's nothing like being with the girls. We laughed A LOT, played games, and ate tons of junk. We stayed up late talking and reminiscing on past memories. Jessica, the party planner, put together a jeopardy game, which was amazing and hilarious! We watched a slide show of pictures from when we all lived together, classic. Overall, it was SUCH a fun weekend. I miss every single one of those girls SO much! We are already planning on the place for next year...can't wait :)

playing catch up!!

I am officially failing at the blog challenge hah! It's been super busy around here lately. Good news: I have officially ran everyday for 9 days now. (excluding Sunday) This is huge because I love taking days off hah. Ask my husband. I'm always making up excuses but the weather has been perfect lately and I have no excuses. Plus, it feels good to be outside. J has been going running with me, which has been awesome because he has VERY long legs and he pushes me to run faster! I have to take two strides in order to keep up with one of his strides! Yep, he's 6'4.

Anyway! this weekend is going to be epic. Why?!!! because one of my very best friends, Jessica, put together a roommate reunion. When I was single, I lived with girls who became and still are some of my best friends. We are scattered all over the place and this weekend we are all getting together in Park City, Utah for a whole weekend of craziness. EEEHHHH! I'm so excited. I'll share pictures later :)

For the blog challenge, I was supposed to take pictures of a sun spot and a silhouette. Oops. So I grabbed some good ones from our wedding pictures.

Anyone remember these bad boys? I still eat them on a regular basis. Otter pops are the best! Growing up, we lived down the street from our cousins, who have a pool. In the summer we would go swimming and eat otter pops ALL the time.

Lastly, I was supposed to take a picture of someone I love. Obviously, I took a picture of J. He is completely perfect for me and I am so lucky to have him as mine :)

Next month J and I are going to WASHINGTON DC! I have never been before and as you can tell, I'm stoked! The in-laws used some frequent flyer miles and got us all plane tickets out there. So yes, the WHOLE family is going. (even the new little baby, yay) I am a museum kinda girl. I traveled around Europe for a month and basically went to a museum every single day- heaven. I loved every second of it. Most people find them boring but I find the quietness of them amazing. It gives you time to think and reflect about each work of art. Okay nerd alert. That's enough. So in Washington DC I am dying to go to the Smithsonian, the Holocaust Museum and Museum of Natural History. I'm sure there are a bajillion other good ones out there but we don't have a ton of time yano?

Are there any other things we MUST do while we are out there? I know it will be brutally hot and I am already freaking out about what I am going to wear haha. I need shorts!

Lately, I've been obsessed with summer salads. I want to recreate every single salad I find on pinterest. They look amazing and so delicious.



Seriously? Oh, and I know I am light years behind on the blog challenge but don't you worry. I will catch up this week and flood this little bloggy with pictures. Until then :)

For the blog challenge I am supposed to take a picture of an animal but we don't have any animals! We live in an apartment that doesn't allow pets. BOO! If we could have a pet we would have a dog, hands down. J and I LOVE dogs. I figured I would just post a picture of our dog Rusty. Miss you Rusty!

Is this not the funniest thing you have ever seen in your life? My siblings decided to have a fiesta and dress up Rusty one time. Good times ha!

blog challenge and babies :)

I'm obsessed with babies. Every single baby I see, I have to oooh and ahhh because they are just SO cute! I don't know what's going on but I want to take everyone's baby home with me. One day I will have some kiddos of my own but for now I will be your designated baby sitter. It might be because my siser-in-law just had a baby but I'm seriously asking Justin every few days, Can we go see Aiden?? I love that little guy and just can't get enough. I can't imagine how the proud momma feels:)

So as far as the blog challenge goes, I stink. I'm always behind but i'm trying! I am loving what everyone else is coming up with! I skipped the day when I was supposed to take a picture of the sunset because it was so dang cloudy here that there was no sunset haha or maybe I just wasn't outside at the right time. I'll try and get a good one this weekend!





The blog challenge was books and fresh fruit. So I grabbed some books from our collection and some nectarines out of the fridge. Yum!

cookie jar/box

So as my first project in ceramics this semester, I made a cookie jar/box. I hand built it so it's not perfect by any means. Throwing pieces on the wheel makes them much more accurate! Anywho for my blog challenge I thought I would take some high angle pictures of it. I love the glaze! It was so much fun to make. I skipped taking a picture of books but I will do that one tomorrow.

Today is CRAZY! Husband picked me up from school and said he had a bad day and wanted to go to Craigos.(now pizza pie cafe) If any one knows what this is, you know what you never say no to Craigos. Its a buffet of all you can eat pizza, pasta and salad and it's heaven. Seriously GOOD pizza, trust me. Anyway I'm on pizza overload so now I will waddle around all night doing homework boo!

hot springs and ice cream!

This past weekend the hubs and I went camping! We went with 4 other couples. It was a blast. We went to the Lava Hot Springs just past Pocatello, Idaho. Anyone been there? It was amazing! I have been to natural hot springs before but these were awesome because they extract the sulfur smell and that makes it much more enjoyable :) They are basically like hot swimming pools and the closer you get to the mountain, the hotter the pool gets. The hottest pool was beyond HOT! I sat in it for a total of 2 minutes and then I was done. It was intense. We had a fire and made smores and all that good stuff. Overall, it was a great weekend.
