Diddy Riese
Has anyone out there been to Diddy Reise in Westwood, California?!!
Ha. But seriously it is the best! It is so simple and yet so delicious. Two cookies with a big scoop of ice cream in the middle. You pick any two cookies and any flavor of ice cream. Everything about this place is amazing. Anywho- My siblings and I spent the day in Malibu/Santa Monica. My SIL went to Pepperdine in Malibu, so we went back and walked around the campus. We went to the beach for a few hours and then headed down PCH to Santa Monica. We walked around the third street promenade, got Chipotle and headed over the Diddy Reise. It was kind of a perfect day. Diddy Reise is really close to UCLA and Pepperdine so I keep hinting at those places for law school.
Ya, my opinion on what law school he goes too depends on what food surrounds the school.
Oh, and my little cousins are out of this world adorable.

what a lovely summer
My family likes to wakeboard. A LOT. We go out on the lake every chance we get. Last week was an epic trip. We went out really early and there was a thick layer of fog over the lake (which is very weird for August) but I wasn't complaining because laster that day it was pushing 100 degrees. You couldn't see the other side of the lake, sketch if you ask me. Wakeboarding is challenging but SO fun! The picture right below is my 52 year old Dad, and yes he is wakeboarding. He is actually really good! What a stud.
It was REALLY early for my sister, ha.
Also, last week we had a family fun day. haha Don't worry, we totally made it up! Both of my parents and all my siblings took work off and we spent the day at the beach. We took our bikes down and rode all around. We went swimming, layed out, shopped and had a bonfire that night. It was an awesome day! My family is such a blast.
The crew, minus a few.

angels + indian pow wow
Last weekend, we went to an Angels game!! It was Mormon night at Angel Stadium and they played the Seattle Mariners. For the most part it was an uneventful game. There was no score for 9 innings! We kept ourselves entertained by eating lots of snacks and talking. Finally, it went into an extra inning and the crowd got really pumped. They were up first with no luck. We were up second in the inning and we scored. It was really exciting and definitely made the game worth going. Not too mention, there was a fireworks show right after! It was awesome!
And of course we hit up In-N-Out after!
So the Indian Pow Wow. ha I like to call it that but really it was a tribal meeting. The reservation is in Oklahoma but there are still members of the tribe who live in California. Every summer the Chief comes down to California and we all get together. It was awesome! There was food and lots of Indians! They all speak a native language, which was amazing to hear.
This is my Grandpa. The REAL Indian in the family. He is very proud to be part of the Muscogee Creek Tribe. What a gem.

DC + Manhattan
Manhattan Beach that is....
HA! I have some more pictures from DC and some pictures from the other day we spent at Manhattan Beach. Manhattan Beach is up by LA so not super close to my house but not far. We don't get there very much because Newport Beach and Huntington Beach are really close. My Dad was flying in to LAX and we decided to pick him up and spend the day at the beach right there. So fun! It was a beautiful day and it made me really excited for when we move down here :) We have been spending our days by the pool, shopping, the beach, and just hanging around. We went to an Angels game and an Indian tribe meeting. Wait whaaaaaat? Yeah, we went and hung out with a bunch of Indians all day and got a bunch of free stuff. As we walked away my mother said, "I just feel at home, these are my people." Gotta love her.
More pictures and a giveaway to come. (I promise)
Had Pho for the first time. Anyone had it? Loved it.
Manhattan Beach..not Washington DC!
My mom is kinda REALLY beautiful.
Little brother...17 years old. Any takers? ha!

WE'RE BACK!!
I feel like I haven't blogged forever!! We are back from Washington D.C. and we are actually in California. Yep! We are staying with my parents for a month until school starts up again in September. Yes, we could have stayed in Rexburg and gotten things done but J and I just wanna party haha. We love to have fun and be with family constantly. I guess this is the time to be care free and kinda do whatever. As soon as I graduate in December, it will be work, work, work and hardly any play. BOO!
Anyway, we had an amazing time in D.C. We did so much in just one week. On the first night we visited the Jefferson Memorial, Washington Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Korean War Memorial, Vietnam Memorial, and the WWII Memorial. This happened all in one night! We walked around and sweated our brains out! Oh yeah, the East Coast decided to have a massive heat wave while we were there. We would sweat through all of our clothes everyday haha. Needless to say, I look like a sweaty mess in all of the pictures but that's okay. Moving on...During the week we went to the American Indian Museum, The National Gallery of Art, The American History Museum, The Holocaust Museum, The White House, The Capitol, The Air and Space Museum, The International Spy Museum, The National Archives, and Arlington Cemetery. If I really sit down and think about it, I probably forgot something haha. We went to a lot of amazing restaurants and saw a lot of amazing architecture. There is so much history there and it gave me a new found appreciation for our country. We enjoy a lot of blessings and freedoms in this country. Overall, it was an awesome week! I will share some pictures right now but don't worry, this is not all of them. I am just too lazy to edit them all right now sooo I will share what I have so far!
