blog challenge and babies :)

I'm obsessed with babies. Every single baby I see, I have to oooh and ahhh because they are just SO cute! I don't know what's going on but I want to take everyone's baby home with me. One day I will have some kiddos of my own but for now I will be your designated baby sitter. It might be because my siser-in-law just had a baby but I'm seriously asking Justin every few days, Can we go see Aiden?? I love that little guy and just can't get enough. I can't imagine how the proud momma feels:)

So as far as the blog challenge goes, I stink. I'm always behind but i'm trying! I am loving what everyone else is coming up with! I skipped the day when I was supposed to take a picture of the sunset because it was so dang cloudy here that there was no sunset haha or maybe I just wasn't outside at the right time. I'll try and get a good one this weekend!





The blog challenge was books and fresh fruit. So I grabbed some books from our collection and some nectarines out of the fridge. Yum!

cookie jar/box

So as my first project in ceramics this semester, I made a cookie jar/box. I hand built it so it's not perfect by any means. Throwing pieces on the wheel makes them much more accurate! Anywho for my blog challenge I thought I would take some high angle pictures of it. I love the glaze! It was so much fun to make. I skipped taking a picture of books but I will do that one tomorrow.

Today is CRAZY! Husband picked me up from school and said he had a bad day and wanted to go to Craigos.(now pizza pie cafe) If any one knows what this is, you know what you never say no to Craigos. Its a buffet of all you can eat pizza, pasta and salad and it's heaven. Seriously GOOD pizza, trust me. Anyway I'm on pizza overload so now I will waddle around all night doing homework boo!

hot springs and ice cream!

This past weekend the hubs and I went camping! We went with 4 other couples. It was a blast. We went to the Lava Hot Springs just past Pocatello, Idaho. Anyone been there? It was amazing! I have been to natural hot springs before but these were awesome because they extract the sulfur smell and that makes it much more enjoyable :) They are basically like hot swimming pools and the closer you get to the mountain, the hotter the pool gets. The hottest pool was beyond HOT! I sat in it for a total of 2 minutes and then I was done. It was intense. We had a fire and made smores and all that good stuff. Overall, it was a great weekend.

rest in peace rusty

SO yesterday was ROUGH!!! I got a call at 7:00 in the morning from my mom, in California, telling me that our family dog got hit by a car in the middle of the night. I immedietly started crying and I couldn't even pull myself together to get to class in time! Our dog, Rusty, has been in the family forever! I picked him out personally when I was a little girl. It's hard for people to understand how much this dog meant to our family. We are dog people and we have had lots of dogs but Rusty has stayed with us through everything. Apparently he broke through the fence in our backyard and tried chasing after some coyotes. Rusty will be VERY, VERY missed in our family.

Oh and a side note: Rusty was very popular. Everyone who met him just fell in love with him so kinda as a joke my siblings made Rusty a facebook. It was hilarious! He got more comments than I ever got :)



Last time we were home, We all gave Rusty a bath. He hated baths so it was hilarious to see him freak out!


Oh, and i'm still doing the photo challenge! J took a picture of my hands a few minutes ago. I just barely got back from the ceramics studio so my hands are SUPER dry, cracking and my nails have clay in them haha. lovely.

SOOOOO happy it's Friday :)

Tom toms and glitter shoes!

I am definitely a shoes girl. I have a TON of shoes and I never want to throw any away because I always tell myself- What if I want to where these one day? haha I am ridiculous, I know.

I wear my Toms a lot. I have them in green and red. I don't think you can tell in this picture but this pair of Toms are covered in clay, ink and paint. I wear them to do ceramics and printmaking and all kinds of fun art! I am an art major- specifically graphic design but I love all art! These are my go to shoes when I'm doing an art project.

The next pair are my sparkly flats haha. Usually I go for more neutral color flats but I couldn't resist myself when I saw these flats. They are Steve Madden and I got them 75% off. I surprisingly wear them ALL the time.
