rest in peace rusty

SO yesterday was ROUGH!!! I got a call at 7:00 in the morning from my mom, in California, telling me that our family dog got hit by a car in the middle of the night. I immedietly started crying and I couldn't even pull myself together to get to class in time! Our dog, Rusty, has been in the family forever! I picked him out personally when I was a little girl. It's hard for people to understand how much this dog meant to our family. We are dog people and we have had lots of dogs but Rusty has stayed with us through everything. Apparently he broke through the fence in our backyard and tried chasing after some coyotes. Rusty will be VERY, VERY missed in our family.

Oh and a side note: Rusty was very popular. Everyone who met him just fell in love with him so kinda as a joke my siblings made Rusty a facebook. It was hilarious! He got more comments than I ever got :)



Last time we were home, We all gave Rusty a bath. He hated baths so it was hilarious to see him freak out!


Oh, and i'm still doing the photo challenge! J took a picture of my hands a few minutes ago. I just barely got back from the ceramics studio so my hands are SUPER dry, cracking and my nails have clay in them haha. lovely.

Tom toms and glitter shoes!

I am definitely a shoes girl. I have a TON of shoes and I never want to throw any away because I always tell myself- What if I want to where these one day? haha I am ridiculous, I know.

I wear my Toms a lot. I have them in green and red. I don't think you can tell in this picture but this pair of Toms are covered in clay, ink and paint. I wear them to do ceramics and printmaking and all kinds of fun art! I am an art major- specifically graphic design but I love all art! These are my go to shoes when I'm doing an art project.

The next pair are my sparkly flats haha. Usually I go for more neutral color flats but I couldn't resist myself when I saw these flats. They are Steve Madden and I got them 75% off. I surprisingly wear them ALL the time.

graduation

Happy Memorial Day! We spent the weekend in Twin Falls, Idaho with the Loar clan. It was a blast, as always! Justin's littler sister graduated from high school so we went down to celebrate! The weather was pretty crummy all weekend but we partied anyway.

I keep playing around with my header when I have a spare minute but I don't like anything I am coming up with. I will think of something cute, eventually! I just don't have time to sit down and do it. School is nuts right now! Only 7 weeks until the semester is over and I can't wait! I'm thinking we should go camping this weekend. Ya? Ya?

J and I had some deliciousness for dessert tonight. It's oh so simple but oh so good.

1 8oz cream cheese
3/4 c. marshmallow cream
1 c. strawberry yogurt

Blend and chill in refrigerator.

I've tried many versions of this fruit dip and this one hit the spot. Serve with strawberries or pineapple or whatever sounds good to you! Enjoy :)

The Love Shack!

Here are a few pictures of our apartment. [for you, Mom] I didn't take a picture of the kitchen because it's boring. It has oak cabinets and white walls. ew. They are just random pictures but you can kinda get a sense of the place!I don't know if you can tell in the pictures but the wall behind the T.V is green. haha so random!






Oh, and just a little side note! We have a bed!! This is a big deal because we have never had a bed before. Our first year of marriage was spent sleeping on the floor haha. Ghetto! But really we had a mattress and it was on the floor. My in-laws decided to give us a bed a few weeks ago. We we're SO excited!! Oh, AND don't mind our 70's looking D.I. chair. Gotta love being poor students!
