anniversary dates and lofty goals

Justin and I celebrated our one year anniversary in California! Our actual anniversary was on Sunday so we went to church, took a walk outside and had a fun bbq at my parent's house. My lovely mother gave us a gift card to Red Lobster for our anniversary and you know we used it the very next day. I got tilapia and shrimp while Justin got lobster tail and shrimp. Um my mouth is watering! After dinner we hit up the always classy Mcdonalds for some free mcflurries. Yum! We made each other cute cards and bought some sweet stuff at Ikea as a gift to each other haha more like a gift to me but hey it's for OUR apartment! right?! anyway, we decided to start a tradition. I was thinking a lot about our first year and some things we did great and some things we need to work on so we decided to make a goal. Every year, instead of at new years, on our anniversary we will make one goal. We will look back on the past year and think of one thing we could work on TOGETHER. We can always make individual goals but this will be a goal we work on as a couple. So our goal for this year is to really dig in to the scriptures. We read our scriptures together but sometimes we jump around and sometimes we start to doze off in the middle of reading. So- this year is the year of scriptures! haha it's just something to focus on and really try hard to be better at :)

Anywho- We have made it back to Alaska, I mean Antarctica, I mean Idaho. But seriously, we left 90 degree weather and we have returned to temperatures that barely top 50 degrees. Sad. School starts tomorrow. Amy I ready? No. But I am excited. It is my second to last semester wahoo! We are moving this week so the blog posts might be few and far between but i'll try!

Have a good week :)
