Today...
Today is one of those days where I can't stop counting my blessings. I feel so grateful for everything Heavenly Father has blessed me with this year! As the year comes to an end I look back and feel overwhelmed with everything Justin and I have been blessed with. Finals are stressful and finances are frustrating but every time we pay our tithing I know everything is going to be alright :) I have never been happier and apparently today is just one of those days where it hits you...life is really good.
p.s. Amy Butler has wallpaper? I'm in love.

The Break
The Thanksgiving break was amazing. I was so glad we got to be in California, where it was warm! We had so much fun and did so many things but here are some of the highlights:
-Driving through the night and surprising Jules (classic)
-Fourthmeal every night
-Black Friday shopping (we did SO much work)
-Thanksgiving dinner, of course
-Giving Nala and Rusty a bath one day
-Knotts Berry Farm with all the cousins
-LA fabric district with my momma
-Watching Nate play hockey
-Seeing Allie and David (love them)
-Having fires in the fireplace and watching Elf
-Eating at in-n-out 3 times in one week
-Texas hold em night for the boys
And those are just the highlights...
We were very sad to leave and come back to the North Pole. Seriously though. Rexburg is like the North pole right now. It's freezing and it snows everyday! Lovely. Anyway I am looking forward to finals week BECAUSE my family and Justin's family are coming to Rexburg! Long story short...my car needed some fixing and it didn't get done in time when we were in California SO I took my mom's car up here and she has my car down in California. They are coming up to switch cars with me and pick up caroline from school. Justin's family is coming to help all of us move! I am so excited for everyone to be here for Justin's birthday! Only 2 more weeks and the semester is over. yay! Christmas is just around the corner and i've put up a few decorations. I don't have a lot..we are poor and I'm just starting out my collection!
I had really cute Christmas paper SO I decorated my fridge with it! Ghetto..yes but I love it.
I already posted about our tree so yep that's basically it. We will be in Twin with Justin's family over Christmas! Can't wait :)

overzealous
Call us overzealous but tonight we put up our Christmas tree! I love the glow of the tree and the way it makes our little apartment feel so homey. (is that a word?) Anyway I have the Christmas bug. I am so excited for Christmas and spending time with family! I need to tell myself to slow down and enjoy Thanksgiving as well. We are going to California to spend Thanksgiving with my family. Can't wait!

the flood.
Yep. Basically our apartment was flooded with water yesterday. Our maintenance guy came and fixed our faucet yesterday but apparently our faucet doesn't fit our sink like it's supposed to, and therefor it keeps coming unscrewed. We have had a leak all semester and yesterday was epic. I went to turn the water off at the kitchen faucet and off popped the handle. Water was spraying into the air at high pressure. I was freaking out!! Water was drenching our apartment. I ran upstairs to try and find anyone who knew how to turn off the main water supply but no one was home! I was trying to cover the water at the base with my hands but the water pressure was so high it was blasting everywhere. I was under the sink trying to unscrew and screw every knob down there but nothing would turn off the water! My neighbor from upstairs ran down and called our manager, who sent our maintenance guy back but by that time the water had been spraying for like 10 minutes. Our kitchen floor had about 6 inches of water and the carpet was DRENCHED. They had to try and suck up the water from the kitchen...which worked but getting the water out of the carpet is another story. We have huge fans trying to dry it out and a carpet cleaner came this morning to suck out the water. The carpet is still damp and our house is still a disaster. The only thing I'm really bummed about is our bookshelf got wet. All of our books are going to have wrinkly paper now. ugh....but other than that we pretty much just spent like 2 hours drying everything off! I guess it's a good story but kind of a pain to deal with! OH and while this whole thing was happening...I was home alone. Justin was in class...so you can imagine how much I was freaking out! It was nuts but I survived. Anyway yesterday was pretty eventful...hopefully we won't have any "events" for a while :)

FLOP
Do you ever plan out a meal, follow the recipe and it FLOPS. Welcome to my life. The last 2 things i've tried to make have not turned out. I am so bummed! I feel so bad serving my husband mush for dinner haha but no really it was going well for a while but lately it has been rough. I am determined to learn how to cook. I want to be a good cook! I guess it just takes practice. I am so grateful that Justin eats my food...even though I see him sneaking into the kitchen for late night snacks...I wonder why. My mom is an awesome cook and my mother-in-law is an amazing cook! What's the secret?! Even though I am discouraged I think i'll make beef stew tomorrow. Wish me luck!!!

New Stuff!
This past weekend Justin and I were in Utah. I was driving on the 15 and I see Ikea out of the corner of my eye. I was literally gravitating towards it. I couldn't help myself. I LOVE IKEA. I could spend hours in that store. Anyway Justin and I moved into our apartment without any furniture. Since we moved in, we have been using these ghetto plastic drawers for our clothes in our bedroom. Soooo at Ikea we bought a little dresser. It's small but it definitely helps!! Also we got a painting. The picture looks kinda weird but it's sweet. I love it! Oh and not mention these totally cute little jars I made tonight!! Cassie, Hilary, Caroline and I got together to make crafts. It was awesome!
Don't mind our ghetto little racks to the right of our dresser.
Yeah, our walls look yellow in this picture but indeed they are white. ha.
I call them yarn jars! cheers!

NEW APARTMENT!
So we're back in Rexburg. I have mixed feeling about this place. I love it but I hate it. I love the University and I love the atmosphere here but I am DREADING the weather. I love the sun and Rexburg definitely lacks sun! Today it was sunny so I guess I can't complain too much! We moved into our new apartment last week and can I just say, I LOVE IT! Our apartment in Arkansas wasn't bad but this one is awesome! It has two bedrooms and a washed and dryer! The pictures I took don't really do it justice because it is so much cuter in person. Feel free to come visit us and see it in person! haha anyway school is under way and we already have homework coming out of our ears! ahh! Life is good and I will update again soon :)

HAPPINESS :)
10 Rules of Happiness
1) Develop your self-discipline.
2) Joy comes through creation, sorrow through destruction. Every living thing can grow: use the world wisely to realize soul growth.
3) Do things which are hard to do.
4) Entertain up-building thoughts. What you think about when you do not have to think shows what you really are.
5) Do your best this hour and you will be better the next.
6) Be true to those who trust you.
7) Pray for wisdom, courage and a kind heart.
8) Give heed to God's messages through inspiration. If self-indulgence, jealousy, avarice, or worry have deadened your response pray to the Lord to wipe out these impediments.
9) True friends enrich life. If you have friends, be one.
10) Faith is the foundation of all things--including happiness.

BANGIN!
I'M BANGIN!
What do you think?! It's okay if you don't like them because I cut them myself haha:) This past weekend I was going to get my hair cut and colored and then I realized I can just do it myself! I went to Sally's Beauty Supply, bought the hair dye and on Friday night JUSTIN dyed my hair. No joke. He put the gloves on and dyed my hair. It was awesome and he did a good job! I cut my hair and he colored it....talk about saving money! 5 days until our vacation. Life is sweet.

Pillows
Today I found an ETSY shop with the cutest pillows. Ah! I am totally coveting these pillows right now. They are so cute and I want them for our bed or to put on the couch or something. I just want them.
BUT I will show some self restraint. I will X out of the browser and bring it back up again on payday :) Cheers!

Blue Slushie
Justin and I had a fun weekend together! We decided to take our mattress off of our bed and put it in the living room. The TV is in the living room so we thought we would have a little sleepover! We went to Sonic and got some delicious drinks. I got a coconut berry slushie and Justin got a sonic blast with oreos. Of course, we stopped by the Redbox on the way home and rented Bounty Hunter. It was an awesome night because it was just us. This week it's going to be over 100 degrees...SWEET. My little brother Ryan aka LOU BOB turned 16 yesterday. WHAT? Last week he was like 7 years old and now he's 16?! This is madness. Well anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY RYAN! Ladies watch out....this kid can date. Oh p.s. Justin and I have been married for 100 days. Nice.
Oh and P.S.S. Did I mention...remember those pretty little running shoes a couple posts back?? Well low and behold putting them on my blog worked and they are currently on my feet.

Rain
Basically this is what it looks like outside right now....
The rain never ends...and when I say rain I mean RAIN. In Arkansas it pours. To say it is simply raining would be an understatement. Anyway, the rain is good when you are at home curled up on the couch, under a blanket and watching a good movie or reading a good book. That's probably what my weekend is going to look like.
Well, have a good weekend!

Shoes
Right now I really want these sweet shoes. In my opinion, they are the girly but not too girly. They have pink but not a lot of pink. Anyway, I'm just thinking out loud when I say that I really want these. Maybe this blog post will make it to the eyes of my sweet Husband. Life is good today because....
Justin and I just bought plane tickets.
There is food in the crock pot waiting for us at home.
Today it is 92 degrees with 5,000 percent humidity. AWESOME.

So this is love.
The reason for my post is because i've been feeling a lot of this lately.
........And the reason for this feeling is definitely this guy.
Justin and I have been married for three months now!
I love how he knows me so well.
I love that he cares about how I feel and what I have to say.
I love how much we have grown as a couple in these past 3 months.
I love his heart.
I love him!
Life Rocks.

The 4th of July
So what is this thing they call fireworks? Basically growing up in California has crippled me from having any experience with fireworks. They are illegal in Yorba Linda. Of course, we watched the fireworks show every 4th of July, but I never actually got to set off my own fireworks. My fireworks experience began and ended with a sparkler. Well, low and behold fireworks are legal in most parts of Arkansas. Before the 4th we hit up a fireworks store and it was like nothing I had ever seen before! It was like Costco but the place was full of fireworks. I didn't even know where to begin. I didn't know what was good, cool etc. I just sat and watched as Justin and his friends ooohed and awwwed over different fireworks. We purchased some goods and I was more excited than I let on. The 4th of July was like a normal Sunday. We went to church, taught our sunbeams, took naps and ate dinner. As it started getting dark, we headed up to Beaver Lake. We found a sweet spot and started setting off fireworks. Justin made a big deal out of me setting off my first firework. haha how embarrassing. Anyway, it was really fun. We set them off at the edge of the lake and watched them light up the sky. It was like there was a dozen different fireworks shows going on because everyone was having their own! It was really fun and an awesome way to spend the 4th. It's a little different without lots of family around but we have good friends out here with us and maybe next year we can be with family :) So the other night we went to Zaxby's for dinner. Awesome food. I told Justin it was one of my favorite places so far, but apparently I say that a lot so who knows! All I know is that is was really good and I really want to go back. Okay so along with pictures from the 4th..and from Zaxby's..I am going to post some pictures of my sunbeams. I can't help it. I love them. They are so much fun! Oh and by the way...I got a MacBook Pro. It's beautiful. I am obsessed with it. Justin always jokes with me and says, Man its really sad that i've lost my wife to a computer. I don't spend that much time on it...I promise:) Well until next time...cheers!
Justing and his cousin, Bradley.
A firework that we set off. No joke.
ZAXBYS.
He was really tired after work. haha.
So cute!
Seriously love them. They are adorable!

La Huerta?!
Life here in Arkansas has been GREAT. We work and we work and then we work some more...but were making money right?! Regardless of all the working, we have been able to have some fun! On the weekends, we try and get out. There are many things that Arkansas has to offer, including a little gem called La Huerta. ha. I was googling good mexican restaurants and this place came up as one of the best in the area, so we tried it out! It was fun and who doesn't love cheap mexican food? Anyway, our sunbeams are awesome and life is bliss. We don't have school or anything stressful to worry about so that's nice. I'm kind of dreading going back to school. The late nights in the library and countless hours spent in the computer labs don't sound very appealing right now. Justin and I keep telling ourselves...it will be better...were married..haha we might be kidding ourselves but it will be nice to come home to him every night. This is kind of what we have been up to lately. Oh by the waY..Justin messed up some vertebrae in his back the other day, which caused one of his ribs to come out of place. Needless to say there have been many sleepless nights spent icing and comforting this guy. Poor Justy :( It is getting better and hopefully by next week he will be good as new! We are looking forward to the family trip to Lake Havasu in August and some time spent with our families at the end of the summer. Until next time.....cheers!
I love this guy more and more every day.
On our way to La Huerta.
...And there it is! The Infamous La Huerta.
